Ohio Department of Transportation officials say more than 8,000 jobs working on Ohio road projects have been funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.
There was a 19% increase in jobs linked to road construction from May to June accounting for almost $10.5 million in wages. ODOT says it anticipates another $40 million in wages to road construction workers will be paid out from June through September.
Those figures include the money spent and work performed on the downtown Bucyrus renovation project.
